If we’re hoping to get better in any capacity, we should agree first, that Jesus was a *perfect example of being human. Today we get into four different things that Jesus did so that maybe (just maybe) we could do the same.

Watch, listen and engage in biblical teaching from One Church NY. Browse by Series Title or Topic. And don’t forget to take a next-step in faith after you do. Because while knowledge is good, applied knowledge is better.
Spiritual Growth
You know that time when you found something *really good and you just HAD to tell someone about it? Maybe a recipe, a restaurant, a certain brand or that thing that “actually works!” It’s often more difficult though, to share your experience of church, with God or the Bible. This “thing” that you’ve seen bring real life change for you shouldn’t be hard to talk about. Which is why one of our core values at One Church is “Invest & Invite – Every person matters to God.” It’s important to us that you are able and proud to share your walk of faith with those you know and love.

Teaching is for Life Change
Kicking off our summer teaching series, called “Sunday Sundaes” Pastor Rick shares one of our first Core Values as a church — that Teaching is for Life Change. How does Biblical scripture apply to our lives? Like the cherry on top of an ice cream sundae, of course! Sometimes the smallest ingredient changes everything.
Faith In Times of Change
Remember that phrase “everything happens for a reason?” Come to find out.. that might just be a myth. God isn’t a genie in a bottle granting wishes and making things come true. Faith however, is trusting that God’s plan is greater than your own.
Freedom to Serve
When we find freedom, sometimes we try to find the line or the limit of it. But if we exercised every freedom that was offered and award to us, would your life look anything like that of Jesus? How can you use your freedom today to make an impact on the lives of others?
Our Habits
Every day we have a choice to make. And it’s the culmination of those choices that add up to our current reality. We are either a victim of our emotions/circumstances or we’re a victim of our choices. Which will you take hold of today?
In & Out
Imagine a life completely free of influence. One where every thought, decision, or ounce of bias was developed from your personal experience and nobody else’s…impossible, right? Our world is connected in so many hidden and imperceivable ways. In fact, much of who we are is because of the direct influence from those we know. Today’s an opportunity to take inventory. A time to make change if we need it and change course if we want it.
Resolutions
What if this year we made it our goal to be more patient and be kinder to others? To those we disagree with. To those we may consider our “enemies”? What if that was the *only* request that Jesus extended to us this year?
New Opportunities
Could this be a season of opportunity in spite of all the obstacles? Because change is inevitable, but growth is optional. What intentions are you taking to be open toward what God has for us in this new season of life?
