Freedom doesn’t always look “hands-free.” While some situations might cry “no strings attached,” there’s actually a whole lot happening under the surface. Same with our Spiritual Health. In our series called “What’s Next” we talk about how Obedience is the source to true freedom.
Trust is the key ingredient in knowing God and following him in our life. Trust also takes fierce courage. To trust is to makes ourselves vulnerable—which isn’t easy for anyone! But today, in celebration of Pastor Rick’s 20 years at One Church, he share why Trust is so vital.
You know that time when you found something *really good and you just HAD to tell someone about it? Maybe a recipe, a restaurant, a certain brand or that thing that “actually works!” It’s often more difficult though, to share your experience of church, with God or the Bible. This “thing” that you’ve seen bring real life change for you shouldn’t be hard to talk about. Which is why one of our core values at One Church is “Invest & Invite – Every person matters to God.” It’s important to us that you are able and proud to share your walk of faith with those you know and love.
“…And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” (Colossians 3:17) Easier said than done, right? There’s a lot of things we do each day without giving a thought, care or prayer about how we accomplished it. Today, Pastor Rick let us in on how our routine, daily lives can become a true testimony of hope.
Remember that phrase “everything happens for a reason?” Come to find out.. that might just be a myth. God isn’t a genie in a bottle granting wishes and making things come true. Faith however, is trusting that God’s plan is greater than your own.
